You can choose from Deviance, Fortune, Food, Creativity, Love, Nature, Popularity, Family, Athletic, and Knowledge as aspirations for the characters. It is an interesting concept, because it gives the characters a realistic personality. It really is like real life!įor the more intangible aspect of Sims 4 characters, you choose their aspirations. You can also give birth to a child by choosing the Play with Genetics option, so the child that is created will possess genes from both parents. ![]() When you create more than one Sims 4 character, they can define relationships between the two. You can go into as much detail as you'd like to select the make-up and hair type of characters. You'll see different views and can choose to zoom in or out on the body. To create a family, you need a minimum of one adult.įor physical appearance, you simply have to drag the mouse over it to alter features and body shapes. For age, you can choose from 5 stages of life (Child, Teen, Young Adult, Adult, Elder). The player has to start by giving them a name, gender, clothes, voice, age, and all the basic features that form a personality. This is, for obvious reasons, a rather crucial stage in the game. In Sims 4, the characteristics cannot change once the character has them. When you begin the game, the first task at hand is to create a Sims character. You get to either create a new Sims characters or raise one from a baby to adulthood. In Sims 4, you cannot change the possessed traits once they have been formed, so one needs to be careful while choosing them. What with physical attributes and maintaining relationships with other characters, Sims 4 simulates life in this controlled environment. Simple really.The Sims gameplay is generally easy to understand, and really interesting as you not only get to manipulate the characters but create them from scratch. Once you’ve installed the Mac version, search for a folder called “Tray” in your finder and replace the user folder with your backup. On your PC, go to: documentselectronicartsthesims4 and copy the user folder. If you couldn’t wait and installed The Sims 4 on a PC but want to carry on, on your Mac then don’t worry – it should be possible. What about if I’ve started playing on PC? The same rules regarding the main game also apply for the DLC – if you buy the PC version, you’ll also have it available for Mac at launch. ![]() The already released DLC for Sims 4 (PC) will also be compatible with the Mac version at launch. What about the “Get to Work” and “Outdoor Retreat” game pack? Physical copies are always great for gifting, right? The folks at EA have said that if you buy the physical PC version and register the code given with Origin, you’ll have both the PC and Mac version to download (this also applies if you buy the Mac version from Origin). That’s all well and good for those of us with superfast broadband but for others it means a painful wait. That means if you want The Sims 4 on Mac, digital download is the only way to get your hands on it. Unfortunately, there won’t be any physical copies of The Sims 4 for Mac being sold in stores.
